Roy Moore the Pedophile

Anonymous
Liberals suck. Tax cuts would be pretty sweet. Oh, crap, we're defending pedophiles now?

At some point, you have to let go of party loyalty.

There will be Moore stories.

Um, all Democrats?

The primary accuser is a Trump voter.

Can you please post the source of that?

It is in the big Post article that has been referenced 1,000 times in this thread. Maybe you should finally read it?

WaPo isn't exactly known to be objective, you know.

This morning I saw on Good Morning America an interview with the NYT reporter who broke the sex abuse scandal with the SNL comedian. Ms Buckley (NYT) said it was important to first have a paper trail before going public with the allegations, especially for any allegations that are decades old.

But WaPo doesn't care? Interesting.

Was Moore's opponent trailing in the polling,
by any chance?

Objectivity is less important than being factual. The facts reported in the article are very solid. That’s why nobody other than Moore is arguing that the story is false. His supporters in Alabama are essentially conceding the facts and resorting to biblical justifications.

Most people I hear are saying:
"IF its true, he should step down."

I'd like to see the kind of paper trail The New York Times produces for its readers. What's wrong with The Washington Post? They hate Republicans. No one here is surprised about that.

His opponent must have been getting desperate.

My above response is for admin.

I'm also disgusted how Christian leaders are silent on this issue, not about condemning Moore per se since they shouldn't make a comment on allegations, but about how these so called Christians are using the Bible to excuse this disgusting behavior. It's no wonder why so many Americans are turning away from Christian churches.

+1. No real Christian would excuse this behavior.

Look at Moore's statements - he never denies the claims against him. Why? Because these women could then sue him for cause.

Carefully parse Moore's words. Why isn't he saying "These women are liars, I've never done these acts"? Because these women are telling the truth and he's guilty.

Haven't seen everything on this story,
but is there a paper trail to the woman's allegations?

I'd think this would be important.

There are records showing the date the mother was in court and the location of the hearing, and there is a courthouse directory showing the location of his office down the hall from that courtroom. Two contemporaneous pieces of paper to corroborate the witness testimony.

i don't mean those records exist in theory. I mean the reporters tracked them down already and used them to verify the witness stories before publishing. They have already found the paper trail.

The two were in the same building? Ok. That's not a paper trail of anything, except they were in the same building. And that's it??

Amazing!

It is an amazing coincidence. And also an amazing coincidence that the mother and friends of the main accuser back up her story because she told them about it years ago. Did she have some kind of amazing soothsayer talent that she knew Moore would be running for office in 2017 and she was scheming to take him down already in 1979 when she was 14 and told her friends? How did she even know who Moore was back then?? Amazing.

Amazing why no one has ever come forward before now, if it’s so important and terrible.

Coincidentally, WaPo endorses his opponent.

Convenient.

I understand the quandary republican voters are in.
The family values platform is based on abortion, gay marriage, and guns, which Moore still stands behind. The actual "morality" of the candidate is secondary (unless, of course, they are the clintons). DH's cousin who lives in Alabama posted on Facebook this morning that she is "praying" about what she would do.

What's amazing is that you can't understand why women are afraid to come forward.

I suppose the victim could produce a betamax video of the event. Would that work for you?

Exactly. Why not a single peep before now?
His Democrat opponent is desperate. How sad.

The "amazing" and "paper trail" poster is obviously a bot or a troll. Stop engaging them.

Mark Foley, the Florida Republican who was revealed to have sent sexual instant messages to several congressional pages? That page scandal?
