It’s not going to get above 30F until Saturday at the earliest, and will be 20f or below every night. Are you aware of what happens to plowed roads when it’s that temperature, or do you get your weather information from RFK Jr?

DP. I live on a cul de sac that seldom gets plowed. It's been plowed today. And, yes, it will likely ice over some tomorrow, but, I would plan on Wednesday--with a delay. Roads can be treated.

I think Wednesday is a toss up...def a delay but could be a closing. Enjoy the snow, cocoa, and games with your kids. Or stomp your feet and be angry about it.

Yet millions will make their daily commute.

Having grown up in the colder climes people do drive better there in snow. People here seem to thing their 4wd or awd enables them to drive like normal and end up spinning out.

Those examples don’t matter, we can only go by how this area manages an event like this, going by past performances it looks like it’s safe to predict tomorrow as closed.

So move there. Or accept things are different here where you choose to live.

So you haven't been driving around today? Or you have been one of the few out on the roads?

The biggest tell that Wednesday remains iffy is all activities are also canceled. Typically if they think they can get it cleared they’ll say a decision on activities will be made by noon. They just straight up canceled them so I think Wednesday is 50/50 at this point.

Because the plan is to go back Wednesday!

My biggest regret since moving to the area of finding this forum. You are some of the most negative and unpleasant people I’ve ever (virtually) interacted with.

Ok, I think being off today and tomorrow is the right call because this area doesn’t handle snow well, let’s be honest. But no one who is stressed about the weather closures is “enjoying snow, cocoa, and games with the kids.” They’re trying to work, as well as manage their kids at home after a very long 2 week break, and it’s stressful. Shades of 2020-2021. Let’s try to just get through this. If the second wave of snow tonight doesn’t drop too much and if it doesn’t drag on too long into Tuesday morning, I’m thinking positive thoughts for school on Weds with a probable 2 hour delay. I’ve been out shoveling and snowblowing all day and the snow is fairly dry/powdery and removal hasn’t been too difficult.
