I’m so sick of dogs everywhere

So tired of dogs off leash on walking trails running up to me, stressing me out and ruining what should be a calm and relaxing walk. If you are afraid of dogs, encountering dogs off leash repeatedly is anxiety provoking.

I love dogs and I find unleashed dogs running up to me anxiety-inducing af. The sort of person who lets their dog do this can't be trusted to properly train themselves, let alone their dog(s).

Perfect pet of choice

As annoying as the trend of people bringing dogs everywhere is, dogs are still superior to cats in every way.

I beg to differ. Dogs are worse than kids. The kid is only a toddler for 2 years. A dog is essentially a toddler for 15 years. It is more demanding than having a child in some ways. A dog is a lifestyle hurdle in my eyes. constantly needs attention and care and coddling. The only dogs I like are elderly dogs who don’t make much noise and sleep all day

Handler then gives neighbor a middle finger when neighbor is looking at him like "train your dog to poop on its own damn lawn". What is wrong with people? letting dog shit on others' space and have the audacity to give the finger?
worse yet they put their bags of dog feces in your garbage recycling bin!

I will never know why they can have a small digger and bury the shit. What a waste of plastic bags. And no, don't put them into private trash cans.
We had someone bring their dog inside of a restaurant and insisted we give the dog water under the table. This was not a service dog. She could have given the dog water as we have water bowls outside. This was not about dog needing water. She also said she knew the owner of the restaurant. I told her that it was the owner of the restaurant who said 'no' to food and water inside for animals.
Why not walk outside to one of those bowls while waiting for you food.
The sad thing is that she will be coming back again and again.

Had to give a friend a ride today. When waiting outside their apartments, a lady who was handling 5 dogs came out from a street of single family homes and took the dogs to the grounds of the apartments. One after another each dog or at least most of them needed to poop. She picked up each one of the blobs but come on, there are companies hired to maintain the lawns. Other humans just like the dog handler and you - the owner - have to mow, trim the grass and maintain the grass which discolors. You are not the one who takes care their lawn. There are kids running around on the grass. Train your dogs to pee and poop on your own lawn only! If you don't know how to handle a dog, dont get one or don't keep it. Sheesh

Cafes
Some restaurants even

And yes I'm talking about the indoor part of these venues, not just patios. I sometimes work at a Starbucks near me just for a change of venue, and it's a pretty steady stream of people coming in with their dogs. The Starbucks has numerous signs on the door saying dogs are not permitted inside due to local regulations, and they've set up a "dog parking" area outside with water bowls and place to tie a leash, which is clearly visible from inside through the wind, so you can come in and grab your coffee without bringing your dog inside but also without letting him or her out of your sight. People STILL will just walk in with their dogs. It's wild to me.

Dog didn't look like a service inside a Whole Foods today. The ugly lady wearing a purple dress and her dog strolled over to the meats. Disgusting. By the time security saw her, she was already out the store.

Yep have seen dogs inside at Starbucks. not just at a Sbux at a service plaza. Better to drive thru for these reasons. businesses are losing money. Do they realize people may buy more stuff if they come inside?

That's not a particularly controversial one. They sell dog supplies and frequently have treats behind the counter to give out.

If I have to give up any public spaces to dogs, I'll accept pet stores and hardware stores. But NOT grocery stores and places that serve food. A person who takes their dog into a food related business is just a genuinely selfish as$hole who should not be allowed the benefits of a rules-based society. Go live off-grid in a hovel please.

Don't most grocery stores sell dog foods?dogs should be left at home while humans shop. gross.

Nah, hardware stores are almost as traditional as pet stores. Many people who work construction and other outdoor jobs have their dogs with them (vs. leaving them home alone all day). It makes sense.
