As a Democrat, it all feels hopeless.

It’s foolish to look at that one debate and not realize that Biden isn’t fit to be president TODAY much less for the next 4.5 years.

We are not under monarchy if it's for Biden. We will be under monarchy if it's for Trump.

Unfortunately, that’s only true for Biden. For whatever reasons, Republicans actually voted for Trump. We don’t have to understand it to accept it. After all, that’s what most mainstream people wish Trump had done in 2020.

Not for "whatever reason". I do not watch fox, msnbc or ANY MSM. I only use Independent media so I knew hoe corrup both DNC and RNC are as well as the MSM. I voted for Trump in the primary because I questioned why are those in 'control' so hellbent on blocking Trump from the office by using any means necessary?

I came to the conclusion that those in power do not like Trump because he cannot be controlled with throwing billions of dollars. Money is poison in politics.

I agree with half of your post but let's not forget that Trump failed miserably when tasked with a very simple yet important job as Commander-in-Chief when he was in office. Demonstrating integrity at all times is the most important trait for a POTUS to have and Trump clearly showed us that he is lacking. Acknowledging this fact does not make you a Biden supporter. It makes you a decent American with an IQ above 90.

You can’t join the military if you are a convicted felon. How can he be commander in chief?

Weak. FDR was in a wheelchair but he was commander in chief just fine.

But fdr’s brain was okay. Biden’s is broken.

I'll still take Biden over a guy who brags about identifying a drawing of a camel.

Not me. Biden lied at the debate and said no troops died under his watch. What kind of commander in chief lies about that?

Biden did NOT lie.

He simply has dementia.

Biden was forced to withdraw from previous presidential campaigns due to his rampant lying and plagiarism.

He didn't have dementia 30 years ago. He does now.

Trump didn't have dementia 30 years ago. He does now. Checkmate.

Anyone who saw the debate knows you're either lying or have dementia yourself.

Then explain how the Ds have been winning special elections this past year? And Rs when winning, underperforming like in the Ohio special election.

I don't fully get this - for example, the majority of Americans do not want to ban abortion and the majority want stricter gun laws. Trump goes against the majority of Americans. What does that have to do with not being controlled by others in power?

The majority of Americans don’t like abortion but love love love guns . Some even think teachers should have guns to keep schools safe. Which America do you live in? special elections are unique in that national parties can inject shit loads of money into the local election to effect outcomes, that won't be the case for a presidential election that is already so anticipated.

Like who? Names?

Bloomberg?

Imagine if Biden had named him VP instead of that disaster Harris.

So how is Bloomberg getting on the ballot in November?

Biden retires, Bloomberg gets elected in open convention, invests a lot of his money and clearly wins.

bloomberg is a horrible candidate, he will motivate nobody on the left to show up to the polls, while motivating a huge number of gun onwers (1/3 of the population) to vote against him.

Horrible candidate in normal times and compared to normal candidates but relative to Trump and Biden, he's a rock star. There are a lot more reasons for people not to vote for Trump and Biden than just about any name you could throw out there. Have you looked and listened to Trump and Biden lately?

Nader, Nader, Sanders/Stein.

The choice is Biden or fascism. That’s your choice. Pick one, or you’re choosing fascism.

Voting for Biden is voting for a shadow government run by unaccountable and unknown individuals. That’s not democracy.

This is my problem with Biden. I can’t stand Trump and will likely still vote Dem but I voted for Joe, not Jill and her people or Ron Klain et al. I’m not a huge fan of Kamala but she is the duly elected VP and appears to be shut out.

Biden needs to talk to real people - not his family who of course want the perks of the presidency.

Biden did NOT lie.

He simply has dementia.

He was lucid the next day and never apologized.

Get back to us when Trump apologizes for even one of the thousands of lies he's told. And THAT man definitely CAN'T remember what he said from one minute to the next. It's astounding how, during the SAME DEBATE he at one point minimized J6 and said they were harmless patriots who didn't do anything wrong, yet later on said the destruction (which he previously said didn't happen) was "Pelosi's fault." Complete inconsistency and logic fail and anyone who thinks that made any sense at all is as brain-cooked as Trump. You don't even have a leg to stand on.

Correct.

Trump lies so much his supporters can’t possibly keep up and/or totally clueless

They caught Biden in one lie and it's "OHHH WE GOT HIM!!! HE'S SO DISHONEST AND EVERYONE SHOULD VOTE FOR TRUMP BECAUSE BIDEN LIED" yet Trump told dozens of lies and they don't care or are so deeply delusional and denialistic that they don't believe it. https://www.factcheck.org/2024/06/factchecking-the-biden-trump-debate/

Yes, 16 troops died on Biden's watch. 13 in Afghanistan, 3 in an Iranian attack in Jordan, and 2 while intercepting an illegal shipment of Houthi weapons.

But 65 troops died on Trump's watch to include 45 in Afghanistan (more than 3x the number of troops that died in Afghanistan on Biden's watch), with Trump lying about not losing a single soldier - https://apnews.com/article/fact-check-trump-afghanistan-troops-killed-659053265479

Totally OK for Trump to tell that lie that you want to pillory Biden over? And where was Trump's apology for that lie? Didn't happen. Complete hypocrisy. If you are outraged over Biden, you should be triply outraged at Trump and if you can't vote for Biden then there's absolutely NO WAY you can in good faith vote for Trump or support him being elected by default by withholding your vote or voting third party.

Yes, they interpreted the 14th amendment law in a manner that set forth parameters that states had to abide by when crafting abortion related legislation. The Court's ruling had a significant impact on state abortion laws for decades. That's not up for debate.

Roe V Wade was common sense abortion legislation. It protected a woman's right to choose up until viability of the fetus. If that isn't common sense abortion legislation, please tell me what it is.

Well Roe v Wade wasn’t legislation, so…

It set forth parameters for legislation based on common sense

Judges don’t make law. They interpret it. Go back to civics 101.

Yes, they interpreted the 14th amendment law in a manner that set forth parameters that states had to abide by when crafting abortion related legislation. The Court's ruling had a significant impact on state abortion laws for decades. That's not up for debate.

Setting forth parameters in Roe vs Wade was literally restricting by trimesters. It was all made up law and rightfully struck down. That’s not up for debate.

But even if Dems win, the Supreme Court has done so much this year to stymie any liberal policy.

Gun control ain’t happening. The environment is fked and now will be more so with the loss of Chevron. Organized religion is fully breaking down the walls between the state and itself.

What the fk? What’s to be happy about?

It is foolish to rate anyone on ONE debate. Look at last 8 years and think about it. Media is adding oil to all of it unnecessarily. Be wise and make your decision wisely

You can't join the military if you have dementia. How can Biden be commander in chief?

I think we've established the fact that neither Trump or Biden have any business serving as POTUS until 2029. A first grader could figure that out. Let's talk about people who are qualified to handle the job.

Like who? Names?

Biden is only for himself

Trump gave up everything for the country. He was much better off without serving.

Biden depends on quid quo pro payoffs for government favors

Yes, Trump is a selfless martyr.

Lord help us.

What was factually incorrect about their statement?

Trump gave up everything to serve?? 🙄 your daily reminder he got elected because he was on the Apprentice. He was shocked when he won.
