That is true for Biden, was true for Trump, was true for Obama, and was true for Bush or any other President before him.

Biden shut down the keystone pipeline on his first day of office. And he flooded the US with money causing the highest inflation in over 40 years. Elections have consequences. I hope we make it another three years.

+1 Progressives browbeated oil and gas in 2019 and 2020, threatening to regulate them out of existence. Now, all of a sudden, the want them increase output. Why on earth would they invest to increase production only to be regulated in a few years again?

Do Trumpsters think that endlessly chanting lies will magically turn them into truths?

I'm a democrat.

And I’m the Queen of England.

Inflation is equally high across the world, in many countries higher than US.

Oh yeah? Can you tell us which peer countries have "equal" inflation? Hint: it's been posted several times in this thread.

Some of you all just imbibe talking points without a second thought.

All of them?

UK, Germany have the highest inflation of the last 30 years. Comparing absolute numbers is misguided as their index gives gas prices a much lower weight given the dearth of public transportation.

So yeah, if the world is experiencing the highest inflation in decades it’s not because Joe Biden has been in office for 1 year.

Nice tapdance, goalpoast moving.

No tap dancing, this is basic Economics. Every country has it’s own inflation basket based on that country’s consumption. Inflation is soaring for poorer countries where Food is a large percentage of their basket.

That is correct. Those of us who are not Americans and can compare to our home countries and other countries we've lived in know that leaders are not powerful enough to effect change when it comes to global economic forces. Not Biden, or Merkel or Macron, or anyone else in recent years. It's completely stupid to accuse any western leader, even the ones you don't like, of significantly contributing to your economic woes.

Now you could say that some of the inflation will be Putin's fault, since he decided to invade an innocent country and set off a firestorm of pretty inevitable sanctions. But that's as far as it will go. The inflation was already there to begin with, due to the pandemic and global market forces.

COVID, dummy. Remember when a barrel of oil was -$37 in 2020? Tons of oil and nat gas operators shut down and never reopened. They have no plans to invest more even at these crazy high prices because they’ve been caught upside down multiple times in the last 15 years.

The current prices have nothing to do with Keystone XL or new gas leases on federal lands.

All of those items are global commodities. The prices are up worldwide. Democrats are not responsible for the greed of global corporations.

Which might be somewhat true to a limited extent.

But it doesn’t matter. Voters - especially independents - will blame dems. And that’s awesome.

You dems actually have people convinced you WANT them paying $7/gallon for gas.

Bravo!

Can’t wait ‘til November

Republicans actually lie and distort the truth just to win elections! You can’t wait for bullies and liars to be elected? Look at this whole thread how dishonest everyone is blaming Biden for everything. So transparent.

Turnabout is fair play, hon.

Dems would be burning Trump in effigy (again) if gas prices were this high during his term, whether it was his doing or not.
Shoe’s on the other foot now.

Sucks, huh?

Hahaha!!!!!

Hope it stays over $10 all the way through the election. “Elections have consequences” - remember Obama saying that? Well, now it’s the dems and low information voters to get what they voted for.

Nope. Your entire post is BS. Not a surprise though. That’s all you RWNJs deal in. BS.

In which poster defends calling inflation "equally high" by detailing the manner in which said inflation rates are not equal. Got it.

If gas prices are high, walk or take public transportation. It’s very simple. Better to have this than Ukraine part of Russia.

That is just not possible for many people. It astounds me that some of you just don't comprehend this fact.

Stop driving the big gas-guzzling SUVs and the absurd pickup trucks. Pickup truck are absolutely stupid to own unless you’re an actual rancher or farmer. I used to this it was ok for building contractors to have a truck but given how much they’re stuff gets stolen, no dumb.

Pickups are for macho cosplay.

In the Midwest, they have lower gas prices.

😳 So, the contractors have no right to secure their property? All their necessary tools and equipment will fit in that Leaf? Lol.

Also, the return-to-work thread is interesting, good luck with Metro and all those delays!

Everyone should get a work from home job. It's not hard to answer emails, maybe take a call once in a while, zoom meetings, pretend to understand PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel. Most stay at home jobs are basically fake -- you get paid to do nothing all day.

Not mine. I have daily deadlines and my work must be flawless. It is sent out to tens of thousands of people daily.
