DC wants to lower the voting age to 16

Thoughts? Do you think 16 year olds in the District are mature enough for this responsibility?

I don't know any 16 year old responsible enough to do this. Unless they're raised taking civics courses from K-12, then hell no.

I know 13 year olds that are responsible enough for this. Plus I think many 16 year olds would rise to the occasion. They want to be treated like adults and will do the necessary research to make an informed vote.
