Why don't you submit a FOIA request? I'm sure FCPS has the information.

Do they release results about the other counties?

Probably in the aggregate if you ask, but they usually redact any numbers below 10. So, for example, they may tell you if 20 kids were admitted from APS, but not that 7 came from Swanson.

Why hasn't FCPS issued a press release about the admissions offers, as in past years? Are they trying to call as little attention to the school as possible?

They probably don't like to say that now 75% of the class is Asian.

Since they "updated" their website to be mobile-friendly, they haven't updated data such as the SAT/AP test data for each HS. They are still showing the 2015-2016 info. Couldn't be bothered to put up last year's info.

They update the school profiles with the SAT data over the summer, and there’s usually a 1-year lag. But in the past they’ve issued a press release in late March about TJ admissions. I’m assuming they’ll still issue one, but they don’t seem to be in any rush.

No... the profiles are still showing the AP/IB and SAT data for the spring of 2016 (2015-2016 school year). In the past, they would update them in Oct. (and in fact, the publication info on those pages says that they update in Oct.)... and yet it hasn't been updated for the tests that were taken last May (2017). So, they are not doing what they did in the past.

Probably. In my DD's Algebra 2 class, they have only 3 white kids, 2 of which were rejected by TJ. DD knows at least 12 Asian kids from her class that were accepted.

They eventually do, bu it is usually a few weeks after the admissions decisions have been sent to the students.

FCAG posts eventually posts that information as well, but it doesn't appear to be up yet: http://fcag.org/tjstatistics.shtml

If kids start Algebra 1 in 7th grade, how do they get to algebra 2 in 8th?
