Yeah, that's awful. The big bow especially. Some British fashion is beautiful but when it's bad, it's twee, like this. Unsophisticated, corny and drab.

Weirdly Kate has worn this very hat before but in solid velvet and I liked it on her. But the gingham and the bow together is just so little girl to me

I was just talking about this with a friend who worked at Tnuck when it first started. The founders are not MAGA. For some reason, a LOT of the current employees are.

When I think of Tnuck I do not think “structured dresses.” For structured dresses, I think theory, mm lafleur or that great British brand. Tnuck I think maxi prarie.
Also if I ran a fashion line or store, I would be so so sad if Kristi Noem was patronizing my store. She has the absolute worst taste.

I'm sure they are not thrilled, but they also know their demographic. Sarah Huckabee Sanders' fat ass squeezed into one of their dresses isn't gonna turn off their customer base in flyover, you know? Some suburban frump who thinks PF Chang's is fine dining will almost assuredly still buy it.

An apple-shaped body, also called a round or oval shape, means you carry more weight in your midsection (stomach and waist), have broader shoulders and a fuller bust compared to narrower hips, and tend to have leaner arms and legs, with less waist definition.

This is the definition of an apple shape. Let's see if they apply to Melania:

-Carries more weight in her midsection - check
-Broader shoulders and a fuller bust - check
-Leaner arms and legs - check
-Less waist definition - check

A pear-shaped body (or triangle shape) is characterized by narrower shoulders and bust compared to fuller hips, thighs, and buttocks, creating a silhouette like a pear with a well-defined waist.

-Narrow shoulders and bust - false, Melania has neither narrow shoulders nor bust
-Fuller hips, thighs and buttocks - false
-Well-defined waist - false

Again, it doesn't really matter because she looks great in everything, but I am a vote for the apple category. She is just definitionally not a pear.

Here's a pic from a long time ago, so not dealing with middle age changes. I have no idea what her natural bust size would be, but looking at the underlying frame this looks to me like what the internet calls an inverted triangle--broad shoulders, slim waist and hips. I think she looks the slimmest when she's wearing pants (a lot of dresses do make her look poochy, or she wears them with a high waistline and a fuller skirt that make her bottom half look wide.

FIFY

Well, that picture certainly clarifies her body type, but I’m too tired to come up with a clever name for said type. Inverted triangle with large circles on top? Sort of a Picasso collection of shapes…

I like the Picasso reference but keep i mind the shoulders are the top of the inverted triangle.

I don't think you know what a structured dress is if the first think you think of is MM LaFleur. Their polyester is the opposite of structured.

I find this so interesting because those clothes just SCREAM super conservative to me. It's what a tradwife would wear if she had to go get an office job.

Maybe not but when I think of structured dresses, I think of stuff like this:

That's so hideous. I don't think she should be in black widow's robes like Scarlett O'Hara for a year but that is objectively tacky.

Agree; this would have been a good look for Ryan Seacrest on NYE. It’s an interesting choice for a non-firework celebration

This looks like something Paul Williams would have worn in the 70s. Makes her look like she is build like Paul Williams.

Hideous.

I usually like Melania's style but this is so cheap and tacky looking. Great body but she looks squeezed in.

Agree. The breast implants are so obvious too.

Can you imagine the reactions if Michelle Obama had worn this?? Melania is a beautiful woman but does not have the best taste.

Huh? Michelle Obama wore plenty of cleavage baring sequined gowns. And she certainly didn't have "the best taste" all the time.

I guess you might consider this a cleavage-bearing sequin gown. Not slinky but still looks great. And I think Melanie, while I hate everything she represents, also looks great in the NYE slinky dress.

This is elegant and timeless. Not anything close to what Melanie was wearing on NYE.

That's because Melania was in her own home and was celebrating NYE. M.O. was at some sort of White House function in this picture.

Mar-a-Lago is the defacto White House now you simpleton.

It’s not the defacto White House. They just go there a lot. That’s like saying Kennebubkport was the defacto WH in 2005.

Trump has called his Florida home the “winter White House.”
