DCB and Shepherd WL

#3 at both for K. Any chance?

Shepherd tends to lose a couple kids after PK to private (JPDS, Lowell, Big 3, etc.). However, new IB kids sometimes join at K, too. I’d imagine that they may not go to their waitlist right away for this reason, but that you might get in by late summer.

However, perhaps you’ll have a better chance at DCB given no IB kids to bump you down on the WL. Good luck!

I think this is a good assessment.

They're going to continue with just two K classes at Shepherd next year, and there seems to be an influx of young families - so it's hard to predict how the outflow from "free PK" to private will compare with the influx of families tired of playing the lottery game.

Based on this data, I'm not so sure you'll get in at Shepherd. Last year for K they offered 6 lottery spots, and only 2 waitlist offers later. So - it'll be close.
