| Which is the better school to choose? |
| for what major? GMU is superb in engineering, computer science, economics. |
| For sciences and engineering, GMU. |
| Totally different environments so definitely not an apples to apples comparison. |
|
GMU is now the largest research university in VA with 4 campuses (35,000). JMU is at 22K but both have the same size undergraduate student body. I like the GMU Fairfax campus - it's very walkable and green. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Mason_University

| I would rather attend JMU in the beautiful setting of Harrisonburg, VA. No question. But, like others have said, it depends a lot on what you're majoring in. |
| JMU. |
+1 |
|
JMU, no question.
|
| Jmu except for cost and unless a computer science major. Then gmu all the way. |
| GMU has higher ACT and SAT scores. DC is soon to graduate in computer science. Econ is strong. All types of engineering is strong. Computer science is strong. |
| Choose the place that gives you a better chance to transfer to a good college. |
eh, JMU and GMU are both good colleges. |
This. Both are really great choices. |
You’re a twat. Just so you know. I have kids who went to both schools and loved them. Neither wanted to transfer anywhere. |
