| Both JMU and GMU are fantastic choices. I have a child at JMU and would be thrilled to have our other child attend either school. |
| OP again - thank you to everyone who has been helpful. I feel good about both schools. Seems as though GMU is the way to go for engineering, and sounds as though it is a good route which can help lead to a good job. I appreciate your input. |
Yes, the Econ department is not neoclassical, but rather institutionalists. However, GMU is a serious university that preps its students well for the future. I wouldn't go to grad school in Econ there, but I'm sure the undergrad curriculum teaches all the standard stuff. |
I feel you actually do is, then you are overlooking a lot of very good candidates for no reason that is correlated with their ability. Shame on you. |
If the OP is asking about GMU v JMU, the two schools you list didn't pan out. Just stay on topic. |
Probably true, but maybe not by as much as you think. If your kid really prefered JMU, they can go there and do well and it will be fine. |
| I suspect the douche bag chiming in to be the UMD poster. |

Thank you for responding PP! I understood.

Last I checked their sciences are not very strong. They also have 0 matriculation into med school. |
I smell B.S. Links/source? |
Wrong. GMU has an entire campus dedicated to Science and Technology. It actually has four campuses: Arlington; Fairfax; Manassas (sci & tech) and S. Korea. https://scitechcampus.gmu.edu/programs-of-study/ |
Then why do they have two affiliations with two medical schools that allow students to enroll early? My DC is pre-med. http://prehealth.gmu.edu/pre-medicine/sophomore-entry-programs/ |
Well, well, well they even have a pre-med program at GMU. And my DC's roommate is graduating this spring and has already signed on. http://prehealth.gmu.edu/pre-medicine/ |
| Looks pretty impressive to me. Heading off for med school as a child prodigy. https://www2.gmu.edu/focused-your-future/youngest-mason-grad-looks-toward-medical-school |
