When does spring break season end?

| Don’t have kids in school so help me out. I know many/most colleges had breaks mid March. Are grade/elementary school breaks this week or are there lots of schools with breaks after Easter in April? Trying to time a quick getaway to Fl in Mar/Apr and we have flexibility so trying to see if we can avoid crowded airports, hotels etc? Is mid Apr better as breaks end but summer hasn’t begun? |

A lot of schools are out this week. Many are off the Monday after Easter and some are off the whole week after Easter and then.... it's a wrap. Mid to Late April should be fine. The best way to tell if the particular area of Florida that are traveling to will be quiet when you want to travel is to look at hotel prices. If they are very reasonable-- should be a good indicator that the hotels are not expecting crowds.

This. OP - was actually just looking in Miami for 2-3 nights and hotels that are totally sold out this week and booking in the $380-450 range this and week are booking in the $250-300 range in mid-late April. And we're talking Hiltons etc. not super fancy hotels. Florida REALLY does sell out and/or have super high prices during peak vacation seasons, so PP's hotel metric is pretty accurate. |

| It's over my mid-April, may be a bit earlier given an early Easter. So, it could be over by April 8th. |

| In this area by the week after Easter. Up north in New England, break where my brother lives in western MA starts 2 weeks at least after Easter because they have a Feb ski break. |
