I want warm fuzzies.

He calls me every day on the way home to see if he can pick anything up.
He brought me coffee in bed on Wednesday.
He cleaned the snow off my car this week.

- This morning he brought me coffee and later told me that when he walked in the bedroom I looked so beautiful
- Texts me all day with "I love you" and heart emojis.
- Picks up a bottle of wine on his way home and hands me an invitation to join him for wine hour on the balcony, set up with food and flowers.
- Floss gut stuck between my teeth and he ran to CVS to get a dental pic and waxed floss to extract it for me.
- Always treats me like he's in love with me, like it's our first few months dating.

We're 48 and married 15 years. Kids. Dog.

I always know something is up when DH does things like this for me. Usually it's to "ask" me if he can buy something expensive that we don't need or plan a lunch with his mom & sister who are insufferable.

He surprised me by hiring biweekly cleaners. Of all the romantic things he's done, this may be the top of the list.

It’s not just one thing, it’s who he is as a person. He is the type to take off his own shoes or jacket and give them to someone in need. I’m a SAHM and he works in a stressful environment but that doesn’t stop him from waking up early to make me coffee and make sure the kitchen is clean (unloads the dishwasher from last nights dinner and loads the dishwasher with any new dishes) before I come downstairs. He always thanks me for every promotion, raise, or bonus saying it’s because of me he’s able to do what he does. But my all time favorite thing he did was after our first DD was born. I was nursing and waking up what felt like every 30 minutes. He said if I had to get up so would he. And he did. Every wake up he was there. Usually standing behind me as I nursed giving me a shoulder rub. Sometimes falling asleep next to me. When my next DD came it was divide and conquer but I never forgot that support. Especially being a SAH parent most would assume waking up with a nursing baby was all me, it wasn’t.

I love that you loved that. I would have hated it.

My DH wakes up every morning and makes me coffee. I am a coffee addict. It's the little things.

OMG I thought the same thing. As much as I seethed sometimes when I would be up nursing our DD for the 10000th time that night and he would be snoring away on the other side of the room, if he was up sitting next to me quietly or rubbing my shoulders, I would've hated that.

I’ve posted this before but it makes me happy. My very practical DH planted a cutting flower garden for me. He is an avid vegetable gardener but he knows how much I love flowers so he planted and tends for this garden and did a lot of research and now I have cut flowers in my house from spring to fall. He cuts the flowers and puts them into vases around the house. It’s so sweet.

Finished painting the bedroom! It looks amazing.

Surprised me with a garden trug on Easter. Always says "hey pretty lady" when we get dressed up to go somewhere (weddings, dates).
