| Its walk score seems a little low. Anyone live here or know the ‘hood? |
| it's like Bethesda but the mud is poisonous. |
|
Lots of threads on the munitions contamination.
Why does anyone live in Spring Valley? http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/105/643853.page |
| Manution poison in the soil. |
|
Are you a Republican? I'm completely serious. It's known for being where a high concentration of DC's tiny population of Republicans live.
And also the poison soil. |
|
No. I didn’t know about the poisonous soil. Or the Republicans. I looked up an article after the first poster responded. How are these houses selling for millions of $ in light of the environmental and health hazards?! |
|
Would you buy in Spring Valley?

I have a strong feeling that you are a troll who just wanted to start another Spring Valley munitions thread. I enjoy these as much as the next person, but it's still a lame thing to do. |
Not everybody cares about walk scores. I do, but people who live in Spring Valley really don't care. These are people who really love the suburban retro feel -- lots of women in ballet flats and Burberry jackets, little girls with big floppy bows in their hair. Nothing wrong with that -- I actually have friends who live there, but it's not my thing. Different strokes, baby. |
Plus, you probably don't want to spend much time walking on the contaminated soil anyway. |
Not a troll, just not very knowledgeable about Dc’s neighborhoods yet, hence my post. |
| OP if you're looking to buy in upper NWDC you should definitely familiarize yourself with the Spring Valley FUDS map. We were uncomfortable buying in another hot upper NW neighborhood because of its proximity to the FUDS. |
Step right up, AU Park! |
Thank you for the tip! |
