| DD and I are going to NYC in a couple weeks. She'd like to go to a somewhat fancy restaurant. Something that would impress a young teen but would not break the bank. Maybe up to $75-100 total with tax and tip (less would be better). Suggestions, please? |
| Not fancy but the food is good - Max Brenner is fun. |
| Becco |
| Balthazar. |
I like Max Brenner, too. Maybe Tao. |
Jesus this isn’t sex and the City. Not Tao. |
| Indochine |
| Thanks, all. I'll check these out. |

You might want to adjust your idea of $$$. We recently went to breakfast and had waffles, coffee, tea and our bill was over $100! And that was just breakfast! So, I would like to know where you can get a nice dinner for $100 in NYC without it being McDonalds. LOL |
are you from the countryside? |
I mentioned Becco above and you can get A great meal for two well under 100 |

We enjoyed Becco with our kids, but it doesn't feel like a fancy restaurant. It's a lovely (albeit cramped and crowded) Italian restaurant. You can order their special dinner that includes salad, dessert and three kinds of pasta for something like $35pp. I highly recommend it.
What's your idea of fancy-ish? |
Can you elaborate? Was it fun? Or scary? Or hokey? What ages? |

Maybe Ristorante Morini? It's the fancier sibling of Osteria Morini. Split an appetizer, get some fancy pasta, maybe split a side, and indulge in dessert. Should keep you in your budget. (Don't do the $78 four course menu!)
