I am currently visiting a 3rd world country. What is the best way to deal with going to a restaurant that doesn't have an AC- and the waiters don't speak English?

Instead of you being an "Ugly American", why not use Google maps and virtually visit the place?

You won't be inconvenienced by heat, humidity, or food that tastes different than yours, and you do not need to be "shocked" by people who are not wearing trendy overpriced mall clothes.
You will get to see a different country from the comfort of your own home, and the locals don't have to put up with your "I'm the Queen of America, acknowledge my greatness!" attitude.

No, most 3rd world countries do not have McDonald's or any other American chain restaurants.
