You are right It is hard to name 5 women famous artists. They are out there- many of them. I can name hundreds (ok, not HUNDREDS) of male artists. Some famous and some obscure.

Not really a surprise OP. How many female world leaders can you name? Now how about make leaders?

More annoying to me is that I just watched David Chang’s new Netflix series Ugly Food last night, and it was about what defines the best pizza. There was not 1 woman in it. There 4-5 make chefs and a male dominoes driver profiled, and the only women I saw was a group of 6 blond scantily clad women at a pizza expo in Vegas. Even Aziz Ansari was on there and got to laugh along with them defining the best pizza. You would think that only men could eat pizza. This and so many shows and movies do not pass the Bechdel test.

Keep watching. Episode 2 he highlights Rocio Sanchez and her work on tacos in Copenhagen. She's a huge part of the episode and her work with NomaMexico. Episode 3 he is with Nadine Levi Redzepi and how her home cooking is now a cookbook. Women are a huge part of his documentary.

This took longer for me and my husband to make than I think it should have. We tried after seeing the metro ads. Then I asked him to name five male artists and it took less than 30 seconds.
