How much is your cell phone bill each month? Strategies for lowering it?

Currently paying about $175 for two phone lines on one bill with AT&T. As it approaches $200, it just seems very hight. Curious what others pay. I'd love to get this closer to $100. Also, will be adding another line later this year when our child begins middle school.

I think this is us too, and it's not even unlimited data!

$52/month for one phone, with Verizon, 2GB data plan. It was $74/month when I first got the phone, since Verizon charges you a device payment for the first 24 months. Now my phone is paid off, so that has gone away.

I also have a partial discount through my employer, otherwise it would be higher.

I have xfinity at home and switched to their new mobile service. It uses the Verizon network. $45 per line for unlimited data. I’ve been very happy.

Yes you have to have xfinity at home to get the mobile service.

Anyone using off brand services like Red Pocket Mobile or Republic? Just feel like cell phone service is like cable and keeps creeping up each year.

Sprint. $103-109/month for up to 4 phones, shared data plan. Our plan is 6-GB data shared. We only have two phones on the plan (one iPhone 7 and one Samsung Galaxy 7) and we usually only use about 2-2.5 GB per month because we are so often places where we have WiFi. When we travel and are places without a WiFi, I usually set up my phone as a hotspot for all other devices (like the tablets we and the kids use). We had one trip where we spent 8 days in a house with no WiFi and we ended up using about 5.6-GB of data that month, virtually all during that vacation.

I worked a deal with Verizon for $140 a month (includes all taxes, charges, etc) for two lines but limits data to 2GB for each phone.

Correction, we have 3 devices. I forgot that last year we added a tablet that could use the data plan so that it doesn't necessarily have to be near a WiFi hot spot to get data. We've had enough times when traveling where it helps to have a tablet with its own data so that we don't have to set up a hotspot and connect to get Internet access.

$60/month for 2 lines with 2GB each from Cricket. Just made the switch recently from a Verizon and I think we're saving close to $100/month. Should have switched long ago. I think it might be a little slower than Verizon, but it hasn't significantly impacted my life in any way other than seeking out and connecting to WiFi networks a bit more than I used to.

Two lines from Republic Wireless, total usually less than $50/month. Heavy users will be higher (we use 1-2 gigs per line per month), but not hugely. You have to buy one of their phones or get a sim card if you have a compatible phone.
