| I'm going to Paris in July and am looking for purse/bag suggestions. I am female, not into fashion (but not looking for frumpy/ugly either), and would like to spend less than $60. I've heard mixed reviews on the "security" bags like Travelon, etc. What says DCUM? I don't want anything enormous but would like a designated water bottle pocket. Thank you! |

More expensive than what you want ($78), but this is my go-to travel bag. Crossbody, just the right size. Has two pockets in the back that can fit a water bottle. Simple and comfortable.

I bought this one from LL Bean just before my trip to Paris and South Africa last year. It worked great. Plenty of pockets and easy to adjust strap. It doesn't have a separate water bottle pocket but it was big enough to fit a water bottle along with all my other stuff.

| Just put your shit in a f^ucking bag. Who cares what it is. As long as it's airline friendly and your shit fits in it, what else is there to think about? You want to impress Parisians? Tie a scarf around the handle. |

Parisian here. Just make sure you never let go of your bag, and that everything can close with a zipper. Your valuables like passport and credit card need to be the most inaccessible inner pocket, unless they are on your person, hidden away.
Pickpockets have very nimble fingers, particularly the kids. The MO is to distract you with a question or push or something else, while the pickpocket opens zippers or reaches inside your clothes, so the zippered bag is just to first line of defense but you need to be vigilant. |
Lucky you didn't get back to your Airbnb to find that zipper open and your phone stolen. |
It's smaller in person, than it looks in the photo. But if you like it and it fits whatever purpose you want, who gives a crap? (insecure drones give a crap )

Ok scarf part made me legit LOL. |
I didn't need a phone! I was in Paris. |

I use this one, in black. http://www.patagonia.com/product/lightweight-travel-courier-bag-15-liters/48813.html?dwvar_48813_color=BLK&cgid=luggage#tile-72=&start=1&sz=96
Have had it for years and prefer it to all of my fancy bags. You can stuff anything into here - sweaters, nano puff jackets, iPad, occasional groceries. Super lightweight. Cross body with zippers on everything. Mesh pockets fit water bottles well. Inner zip pocket for passports. I hike with this, and have traveled all over the world with it. |

Rodman's has a large display of them in the lower area. Compact and lkts of sjze options. |
Totally agree with this. I have traveled all over the US and to various countries. I just use my purses rather than tote bags. That's it. I don't buy anything special. Same with shoes, same with clothes. |
| Yes that was unnecessarily angry, but I definitely had a chuckle. |
