I think they are generally unflattering unless you are slim with an hourglass figure and a high, round butt. Any suggestions re: brands that are more mid-sized and would work on someone with a slim but athletic/boyish shape? I have slim hips, muscular legs and thighs, a small rear end and not much of a waist (not a lot of curves). High waisted jeans don't look good one me.

| They're better than having your butt show when you lean over. Jsut don't wear high cut shirts with them. |
| Free People, American Eagle (seriously!), AGOLDE and Mother. I have a similar figure and FP has been my go to for jeans for the last few years. |

I love high waisted jeans from American eagle outfitters. I think these are my favorites. https://www.ae.com/women-ae-denim-x-high-waisted-slim-jean-midnight-dreamer/web/s-prod/0436_1391_924?cm=sUS-cUSD&catId=cat7010084
I want something more relaxed for spring but I’m afraid if I do relaxed high waisted jeans they’ll look like awful mom jeans and not in a trendy way. I’m dreading the trying on process. |
| New York & Co high waisted leggings |
| Old Navy |
| Madewell has amazing jeans. |
| Rebecca Taylor |
| I also do the high waisted at American Eagle and get compliments all the time. |

Mid rise takes care of the plumber's crack issue and is more flattering on most than high waist. |
NP I have tried at least a dozen difference brands of mid-rise skinny jeans ($ to $$$) and my crack shows in all of them. OP I've had success with Old Navy's high rises. |

| I would never have believed it it but American Eagle! They are super awesome. They don’t lose their shape and are so comfortable! |
