One thing that gets ignored is that if there were victims who "made deals" to not testify, then it would be almost impossible to have achieved a conviction. Prosecutors do not choose to prosecute if they won't succeed. It appears that may have been the case with the Acosta deal.

This is all very sad.

Did you watch the Netflix documentary? I don’t know all the details, but I don’t think it is the case that victims refused to testify. I truly believe it was that Acosta was compromised (implicitly or explicitly) and/or that they really did not believe that the crimes were that bad. This was still a period in time prior to me-too where shenanigans with a teen girl were naughty but not seen as criminal by many. It’d not hard to go from that mentality to believing that a jury would not convict.

I have this weird belief that Trump is actually kind of asexual. He’s not a Bill Clinton who actually likes sex. Trump gets off on power and control, so he likes women as possessions. So while I fully expect that Trump would be in these files making crude comments (because he likes the power that gives him) I actually doubt it goes beyond that. The new news will be how much he knew about what Epstein was doing.
