Anyone watching season 2? I'm completely intrigued by this show. My favorite episode so far is when they went to Scotland and Victoria and Albert got lost in the highlands.
I absolutely love Jenna Coleman and Tom Hughes as Victoria and Albert. Such beautiful people. |

I’m watching.
I haven’t watched this week’s ep yet. It has been pretty good. Some story lines I love, some I don’t. Most favorite: Victoria, Albert, politics Least favorite: I hate skerrit/ Frankatelli. A couple I’m not rooting for. When Skerrit was hanging with that Scottish guy I was like YEAH! And I sort of eye roll every time at the two gay guys. Only because if they’re in a scene they are just constantly looking at each other. There are rarely scenes with one of them, and there are rarely scenes re: anything other than them looking at each other. It’s like they are there as props. |
| I’m watching season I on amazon prime. I absolutely love it! |
Well, you'll be happy when you see this week's episode, then. |
| I love period dramas and all that and really found this series boring. I don't know why. |
| I love how the uncle Leopold actor was also king Edward IV in The Crown. |
Yes, and he was Prince Charles in The Queen (Helen Mirren). He has played too many similar roles and I get his character constantly confused! |
| Why the hell isnt this on xfinity on demand? I have cable but can't watch it when it airs. |
Dh and I are always making jokes about how often we see the same actors. There just aren't that many actors in the UK. |
+1 Playing smarmy, effeminate royals seems to be his niche. |

Season I was much better.
Season II made up too many episodes. Her real life was exciting enough. Why make up soap opera crap? And I also agree with the poster who aid that the Skerritt/Franconelli thing was boring. Trying to be Downton Abbey is ridiculous. |

I love the show but I agree season 1 was better overall. There have been some absolutely amazing scenes in 2 so far but it doesn’t compete with her rise to the throne, meeting Albert and, of course, Lord M!
Is Lord M deceased now? Wouldn’t you think she’d attend his funeral if so? Or grieve his death? Seems like the scene when she said goodbye could be interpreted as him dying. Def watch this week’s- a few key plot lines moved forward. |
| I'm not current but I really like this show. I agree that they are trying to go for a Downton Abbey vibe with the servant storylines. The best part of the show is by far the casting and chemistry of Victoria and Albert. |
I agree with the poster who mentioned being tired of the scenes with the gay guys. I like both their characters, but every scene with them is full of double entendres and sexual puns/undertones. The scene having dinner at the French court with the phallic shaped dish was just too over the top. Of course, things will be different now.
