Do you think they ended up together? Did they eventually get married? Did they never see each other again after Kettleman’s?
I just finished watching this with a girlfriend who’s stuck on bed rest. We each have our own hypothesis. What’s yours? |
| It fell apart when she went to college. |

Never saw one another again.
Johnny goes through a few wives. Baby finishes school, gets married, starts a career, has one kid and ends up divorced. They reconnected on facebook a couple of years ago and had a destination wedding. He has several grandchildren now. Her kid only talks to her during major holidays. |
| The went their separate ways. She went off to Barnard, or wherever she was going, with a lovely memory of her first love and losing her virginity. |
Without a doubt. |
He, despite being a super fit dancer, was a lifelong heavy smoker and sadly died of pancreatic cancer at a relatively young age. |
Love it! OP here, thanks everyone, this is giving my friend some much needed laughs! |
Not funny. That's what happened to Patrick Swayze. |
The joke wasn’t lost on us. |
I’m leaving my friend with this. She thanks you! She’s a huge DD fan. Thanks for sharing this for her! |
Ok. |
Oh my. |
Mount Holyoke |
|
All right. I read the fanfic, and NO WAY!
She goes to Holyoke, and he moves nearby to be a dance instructor. Her father gives him a long talk about what he expects for Baby, and then he helps pay his way through school. She gets him involved in the counter-culture (upper West Side version), and they join the Peace Corps togethwr. They come back, she gets involved in feminism, they get married (he converts), and he raises the kids while she finishes her PhD and teaches at the new school. Eventually, she catches him sleeping with his students, and they either get a divorce, or become singers (it is the early 80s by now)... |
