| My soon-to-be 12 yr old wants to invite a gaggle of her friends over for a movie for her birthday. Any suggestions on a good movie? We are OK with PG-13 movies (Pitch Perfect, Mean Girls, etc.) but not sure how other parents will feel about them. |
| ^Once you have a movie selected, be sure to send it to the parents for them to know in advance. My DD was invited to a 10 year old bday party and watched a PG-13 movie that I did not find appropriate for the age group. I told the parents that in the future I would appreciate a heads-up w/ the movie selection if it was a PG-13. At 12 years old, it may not be as much of an issue, but I think it's always best to ask. |

We just watched Moulin Rouge last night. It's held up, but my 12 year old had a little trouble following it. (the fast-paced editing - the basic storyline of a courtesan she seemed to grasp, not too overtly sexual in the movie).
PG-13. |
| I plan to show Daddy's Home2 to a group of 12 yr olds tonight. |
| Princess Bride. |
| Legally Blonde |
| 10 things I hate about you. A fav for DD and friends |
| Ferris Buehlers Day Off has held up really well and is great for that age group. |
Sorry. I read age 13 instead of PG 13. Save it for after 6th grade. |
| Wonder...maybe too fell good, but I loved it. |
| Freaky Friday with Lindsay Lohan |
My 12yo came home from a party this weekend and told me they watched it, she loved it, and not only do I need to watch it, but we both need to read the book. |
I saw It twice with my 12 year old son. Great movie. |
I caught this recently on HBO. Enjoyed it more that I did when it first came out. What an unusual but fun suggestion. We’ve done a Freaky Friday and Parent Trap (both LL) many many times and they’re both great. |
