Largest deficit since the recession/recovery. This was supposed to be a growing economic condition and yet....

Tax revenues have been going up each year. However, spending increases are outpacing tax revenue increases.

Maybe don't cut taxes so much for the 1% so we can avoid deficit spending? I mean, that was how the GOP used to claim to want to do it.

Or, maybe we should stop spending so much.

In the meantime, I'm a middle earner with a nearly 40% increase in my retirement account this year, and my mother's money has gone up so much that we can afford to keep her in the nice assisted living place for at least another few years. One of my friends lost her job at age 63 (63!!) and, due to the low unemployment rate, was able to find a new job within weeks. Others, earning lower-level wages, have seen increases for the first time in a decade. It's been very good for the bulk of Americans.

A growing economy and a phenomenal stock market is a testimony to the effectiveness of the Trump administration's economic policies.

Democrats should rather than disparage this performance learn how to run an economy: the answer is lower taxes and deregulation.

The discretionary spending within the US government is miniscule, Cut a few billion from defense if need be.

Congratulations. You realize that by having ANYTHING in the market, that puts you in the top 25% of the country in terms of wealth, right?

Very similar here.

The pro-Dem media is going to have to work overtime to make the majority of Americans what we see day to day.

Mr. Trump promised to balance the budget and constrain federal spending as a candidate in the 2016 presidential election, and at one point he said he could pay off the entire federal debt in eight years.

That plan doesn't seem to be going very well, but hey, the DOW!!!!

Not true.

Over 50% of adults have direct or indirect holdings of stock. Thirty percent of adults in the lower 50th percentile of income own stock. Many of the adults who don't own are young and are not yet interested in saving for retirement.

Under Trump's leadership, our economy grew more employment opportunities for women than Obama ever did. More women are on the non-farm payroll than men. Women hold 50.04% if jobs, surpassing men by 100k
Thanks Trump.

That's not true. About half of all Americans have investments in the market, largely through retirement funds. This is ALSO the half that pays federal income taxes, so it's nice to see the people shouldering the burden get rewarded for their diligence and responsibility.

The leftists hate when "ordinary" people (meaning those who never earned six figures) save their money, invest for retirement, and see big increases under Trump. The market is almost 60% since he was elected!
