Indeed, since the end of World War II, the U.S. has seen deficits greater than 4 percent of GDP only in years when the country was either deep in the throes of a serious recession or emerging from one....
In the short term, deficit spending—or tax cuts that aren't offset with spending cuts—can juice the economy and boost growth. But in the long term, high levels of debt drag down economic growth.

MAGAs aren’t capable of looking at the long term.

I'm glad you are distinguishing between MAGAs and Rs. There are Rs who are not MAGAs.

And also MAGAs who are not Rs.

Eight million of us voted Obama twice and then Trump.

An additional 6 or 7 MILLION people gained jobs under trump. Those people are clearly way better off. Economy is great - anyone saying different is a partisan.

Yup.

Plus, over 200 million Americans have exposure to the stock market one way or another, and are vastly wealthier today than in 2016.

Thank you Mr. President

Ignoring the lack of advancement of median household income will undue the GOP in this cycle. Stock market is great, but relatively few benefit and there is no trickle down.

Tell that to my 401k or to my kids' 529s.

Recently read somewhere that the minimum wage of 1968 would be $22 today adjusted for inflation.

Economy does not equal the millions of indivual Americans who are NOT thriving financially. If you don’t believe they exist YOU are the partisan.

Tell us what percentage of Americans have more than $2000 in savings or investments of any kind? What percentage of Americans live in households earning more than $50k? What percentage of Americans have no non-mortgage debt?

Dems were always pretty bad at math, but these days it is spectacular how wrong they are.

They will blindly follow the Church of the NYT to Hell without daring ask a single question

Tax revenues have been going up each year. However, spending increases are outpacing tax revenue increases.
