As bad as what may have happened in 1982, the bigger issue is the lying and denials in the past 4 days. He has already lied under oath. This potentially further undermines his credibility as a jurist.

I’m on “the left” and I care if it’s true. I don’t care that Kavanaugh is very conservative in his opinions - thems the ropes. I DO care that 1) he was nominated in a shady fashion by a president under investigation, 2) Senate is throwing normal order out the window and not providing even close to his full history, and 3) he doesn’t deserve to sit on the highest court if he did what he is credibly accused of, 4) the Senate probably won’t even delay his hearing to find out more about #3, which is wrong.
