I seem to do okay with my eating for two weeks of the month.....but feel so damn hungry during my week of ovulation and right before my period that it sabotages my attempts to diet. Do all women experience this?
Would going on birth control level out my hormones and help with this? |
No suggestions but I am with you. I am actually sitting in bed right now, trying to resist the temptation to eat for absolutely no reason other than the fact my period is due. |
Yes, and it’s perfectly normal. Try increasing your fat intake and see if it helps with your cravings.! |

I am going through this now...was doing keto-IF for 2 weeks and now my period is coming, I just can not control myself. I wish I could keep it under control, I used to be able to, but now that I am 40...it is so much harder!!! |

Honestly the only thing that works for me is allowing myself a little leeway in my diet the week before my period when I'm constantly starving and wanting "bad" foods. If I try and fight it I will just overindulge. If I allow myself to eat a little less healthily than the other weeks, I seem to find a balance that doesn't through off my progress. |
