Prescribed for real pain (broken hip), and yet it still killed him. We need to look hard at what drugs and how these drugs are prescribed. It seems pretty clear to me that fentanyl is too easy to overdose on. |
| Eerily similar to Prince, who was also taking fentanyl for hip issues. |
|
He was mixing LOTS of drugs. It was just too much of one drug. In 2017 how did he get all of those drugs? He had serious medical issues but no one was looking into all that he was prescribed?
From the article the autopsy found fentanyl, oxycodone, temazepam, alprazolam, citalopram, acetyl fentanyl and despropionyl fentanyl in his body. |
| He was a very wealthy, long-time addict. I'm sure he was more than capable of procuring whatever he wanted. |
| Sackler Bastards. Hate them. |
| Not surprising. Love how the family talks about the broken hip as the reason. He was a past heroin user. If he was truly recovered he wouldn't have touched the stuff no matter what. |
This. He could get what he wanted... and even if he wasn't using hard drugs now, he did, and that long term use has long term effects. It's still sad. RIP. |
| try not to speak ill of the dead folks, but yes, a veritable cocktail of powerful drugs were in his system - Its good that we know the truth about that, at least. |
The Sacklers killed Tom Petty! They are the real Heartbreakers... |
| Amazed that none one has gone and vandalized or spray painted their wing at the MET. They are pigs of people don't know how they sleep at night knowing they are responsible for so many deaths. |

All the celebs do - Michael Jackson, Prince, Whitney Houston, Prince...off the top of my head. |
| That is so sad, and the opioid crisis is very real and does not discriminate. Tragic. |
No one is "recovered." It's called "recovering" -- notice the present tense -- for a reason. It's a lifelong struggle to the grave. |
