WHY DO PEOPLE CONTINUE TO ENDANGER THEIR CHILDREN WITH THESE ANIMALS?

Cue the legions of people who'll say, "My dog is gentle, passive and wouldn't hurt a fly!"

This is 100% on that stupid father. They had the dog for 5 days and there is no indication that anyone knew much about that dog's history or behavior.

+1 I've had my spaniel for 8 years, since he was 4 months old and he's never been aggressive with anyone. Still, he is never alone with my one year old daughter for even a moment. Hell, he's never even BETWEEN my daughter and DH or I.

The hell is the matter with these idiots owning these notoriously aggressive animals and acting like they have no duty to take precautions?

It's possible that the dog was kept away from the girl but she snuck in to meet her m, or the grandmother let them together. It's tragic, but I'm not sure that the father is as much to blame as PPs are doing.

The pro pit bull lobby has worked overtime to convince people of the lie that pibulls were bred to be gentle "nanny dogs" that take care of children when the parents are absent.

Those pit bull idiots have convinced many people that pit bulls are gentle family dogs and all you need to do is love and cuddle them and they will be the most gentle, friendliest, kindest dogs especially with children.

They are idiots who have bought into the dangerous criminal lies of the pro pitbull lobby.

It is sad that several children per month are killed at the jaws of these "gentle nanny dogs".
