I feel excluded at times because I don't drink. I can still have fun without drinking! I always wondered what people thought of me.

I am having the same issue. I have had to quit drinking for medical reasons and people don't seem to respect that. It pisses me off. Doesn't help that half of my family are alcoholics.

I didn't drink for years and all my friends did. It was fine. I was often the DD and happy to do it.

I like to drink now. Yes I'd still want to hang out.

Are you fun? Interesting to talk to? Know how to navigate social situations? Then yes, people will want to hang out with you even if you don't drink.

Sure. I don't drink either. Sometimes my friends and I are screaming with laughter. The best part is, the next morning we remember that AND feel well enough to go do it again right away.

Yes. I drink but one of my best friends does not. We have a ton in common and we click, and she doesn't care if I have a drink.

Are you thinking that everyone who drinks gets wasted every time there's alcohol involved? I can assure you that I have a glass of wine (or even two), I remember everything the next morning and feel just fine.

As long as you aren’t boring because of it. Most non-drinkers that get excluded are boring spoil sports. The fun non-drinkers are always around. Then again, sometimes the sport is in the drink. If you’re not a wine drinker, and are amongst a group of wine lovers, why would we invite you to a wine bar?

Absolutely! I drink, but I honestly hate it when events are centered around alcohol. I don't need to drink to relax or enjoy another person's company, it's weird to me that some people do.
