LCPS Schools Closed

Nothing to see here folks. Business as usual.

As the ice melts tomorrow, we should expect another closure tomorrow followed by a 2 hour delay on Wednesday - just in case.

Enjoy the time off with your kids - they grow up so fast.

After the storm passes, maybe you can get the chainsaw out of the garage and make ice sculptures together.

We’ve been together non stop since Dec 15. My kids like going to school. I worry about the message all the parents are sending their kids when they are excited school is closed. “Yay kids school is awful! So glad you don’t have to go!”

Oh, but nothing spells enrichment like sitting in the living room window with Larla marveling at the spectacle of yesterday's 1/4 inch blizzard.

Why don't you over-protective "enjoy the time with your kids" f*cking home school, then? Maybe the rest of us hate to see perfectly good education days thrown away because of a few hand-wringing ninnies.

Nothing spells "overprotective" like a parent spending some quality time with their first grader carving ice sculptures with a chainsaw.

Yep, what a storm so far.

Sadly I think you are right about the next two days.

Look at the radar. The storm splits and LC and FC get nothing. Irony.

Sorry, I think your radar is broken. The storm didn't split.

I'm guessing delay for tomorrow.

And nothing spells "sarcasm" like the suggestion of carving ice sculptures in a few millimeters of ice.

I reeeeally don’t want them to close tomorrow but I truly think they might. We are in Sterling and the side streets and driveways are a sheet of ice. Lots of people couldn’t get up the driveway.
