At this point a delay is best case scenario. Bet they will close.

Yep, and just like FCPS they have lost parents' goodwill with the 3 previous bad calls

Are you new here? LCPS is a bit different than FCPS, they close much more often and parents are happy with that.

Is Sterling LC or FC?

I'm in FCPS and agree with the 3 previous calls. I'd rather have my kids home safe than sliding around in a bus with no seat belts.

Do you not get texts? It's a 2 hour delay. I'm guessing they close in the morning.

No, I'm not new here (LC for close to a decade) and no I'm not happy with the last 3 closures

Everytime Wayde says they are monitoring I assume that is code for closing but waiting to announce

Same. Been here since 2007. LCPS sucks at this every year. I don’t know any parent happy with them about closures!

Sterling is 100% Loudoun. Cascades, Lowes Island, Countryside, etc.

Not all of them. Yesterday (1/8) was totally unnecessary. A two hour delay today is unnecessary.

Completely unnecessary. People think if their snow boot must touch a little ice in the way to the bus stop school must be cancelled. It’s ice, not hot lava!

And actually since FCPS changed their method of counting days/hours, they’ve mimicked Loudoun for closures and delays almost exactly.
