Travis and Taylor

đź’Ż. Her most important love and muse, Matty Healey - no one knew about. She swirled him into all of her poems, yer her crazy obsessive fans had no clue until TTPD. Why? Because he mattered to her.
Her second most important love, Joe, she kept out of the public eye too.
Imo, Travis is for show but totally irrelevant on the grand scheme of things.

Is this authentic ... Travis showed up at the concert because he liked-liked her. They got into contact. She fell for him. Now they're a couple in love.

That sounds real to you? It sounds like some corny teen movie.

PP. I was looking for confirmation from fans if this is the narrative they believe.

How else do two famous people meet? This is one way.

So you think he reached out on his own and she responded on her own and now they're in love?

DP. Who knows - or cares? They seem to be having a good time right now. Why does that bother you?

A lot of her fans care. If you don't, then my questions aren't for you.

How many times must you repeat this silliness? I’m a TS fan, but you are clearly one of the crazy obsessive types you mentioned.

I don’t think it’s silly or the same person saying it. TS broke the internet when TTPD revealed all the many songs written about Marty that even the craziest of fans thought were about Joe. She kept him a secret spanning a decade.

There is one bizarre poster who has extrapolated a couple of lines from songs and claims she knows all about Joe Alwyn's mental health. Meanwhile, there are zero actual news reports about anything like that.

Just googled it and there are a lot of TMZ type stuff that says he had mental health issues.

It may or may not be true, but it is easy to find tabloid articles about it.

The in group/out group tactics of calling people bizarre or weird just adds to the overall mean girl feel of Taylor fandoms- so go you?

Heaven forbid any of us is ever declared suffering from poor mental health by Dr. TMZ. Where did the media outlets get the idea that Joe has depression? Taylor lyrics. Taylor social media. Taylor fans. He hasn't said boo about it.

You are trying to point out that Joe doesn’t have mental health issues. Cool- I have no idea if he does or doesn’t. I am not saying we can possibly even know that. Frankly, I dont care.

My point is that saying people are “bizarre” for stating something you can find in the grocery store aisle tabloids is trying to assign other-ness to a person for expressing an opinion that is fairly commonplace. The establishment of “other-ness” is a hallmark of Taylor fandom as well as mean girl cliques and bullies everywhere.

I didn't say anyone was bizarre for talking about Joe Alwyn's mental health. Creating and spreading diagnoses of someone's mental health is the way of society now, I know. Was just labeling the source as Taylor Swift.

It’s bully behavior to suggest someone has mental illness in your lyrics when you say you have trained your fans to find clues.

I like her music but I do not think she always makes kind choices.

Nobody is perfect.

What lyrics are you talking about and how do you know it’s about Joe?

I’ll ask you a question. Why do people think Joe has depression when he has never stated such?

He did state he was depressed. Google his name.

No when a relationship is sacred to someone you don't hide away or require someone to make themselves smaller for your broken ego.

She didn't keep them "our of the public eye", they could not handle the public opinion.

Travis can handle all the hate and the love. He doesn't care.

She’s on record saying she can’t get those years of hiding back and from now on she’ll live her life how she wants and not hide. Why should she have to hide it to protect it? They keep out of public a decent amount but they’re both public people. Can’t avoid that.

Don’t you think there is an NDA about him discussing anything that happened when he was with Taylor? I do. I’d lay low too.

If he was hiding from the public in general (as Taylor seems to say they were) and don’t want a ton of publicity/are generally a private person it makes sense if you don’t want to broadcast your personal mental health issues.

Maybe there are cultural divides here as well- British stiff upper lip and all.

Either way I respect his handling of the break up much more than the way Taylor handles things. I also don’t blame Taylor fans for hunting for clues about her relationships when she had built her empire upon having her fans just do that.
