Expectant and Postpartum Moms

Sorry for those who are tired of these and/or believe it's a very personal choice, but I'm curious for feedback/votes on these names below for a girl. Middle name would be Ruth (family name).
Elena Claire Katherine (would go by Kate, though I must admit I prefer Catherine with a "C" and Kate with a "K") Morgan |
My favorite of these is Elena! I love Catherine/Katherine (we used as a middle name), but if popularity is a concern, I'd rethink, since there are many, many young Kates and Katies out there. Claire is pretty, but Claire Ruth doesn't roll off the tongue well. Not a fan of Morgan, which still feels rather boyish to me.
I like Elena and Katherine best- either would sound good with Ruth as the middle name.
I think Elena Ruth is lovely.
Katherine and Elena sound best with Ruth, but Claire is my all time favorite. Morgan is a boy's name these days -- I know several in the preK/K set.
All four names are acceptable. Morgan is the weakest of the bunch.
Consider a two syllable first name - Clara (instead of Claire) - since Ruth is one syllable.
My daughter's name is Elena so I'm definitely a fan of that one!
I like Claire the best.
All are lovely but my favorite is Elena.
We toyed with the name Elena if we had a girl...we're having a DS though.
I like all of them except for Morgan.
I like Katherine (though I also prefer it with a C)
Agree that they're all pretty names, though Claire Ruth as a combo is harder to say - maybe because the repeat R sound.
ditto |
