Anyone know anything about it? |
Our friends have sent all 4 of their children to St. George’s. They love the school. Their kids are awesome too. |
^^ in Rhode Island |
Billy Bush went there. As did tucker Carlson. |
Gorgeous campus, nice kids, not an academic power house but a fine school. |
It's a fine school. It did have somewhat stronger academic reputation in the past (1950s-1960s) but I don't think badly of it at all. St. Andrews in Delaware is stronger, academically, but St. George's is still a good school. |
Despite this, some non douchy people go there too. My sister went there in the 80s loved it, still keeps in touch with many of her friends. As others have said, beautiful location. |
Tucker Carlson is not a douche-clearly you don’t know him. |
I do (NP) and I think he is. |
Beautiful campus. A little less diverse than some other schools, but they are working on that. Also in the 80s, there were some discriminatory practices against women. |
My husband went to Portsmouth Abbey in the late 90s and they always competed against St. George's. He always commented on how much nicer their (George's) campus was compared to his. |
Well-known as the biggest party school in the boarding school world. |
I call bull. No one who knows him thinks this. My guess since you also had the Billy Bush comment is you are a lib and like most libs everyone who doesn’t agree with you is a douche. Anyway St George is a Well regarded school. I know a lot of families who love it. Boarding is a tough decision and though it is not for my family it is a terrific education and kids from boarding tend to do better in college |
That's true of so many second/third tier boarding schools though. Pomfret, Tabor, Berkshire, Westminster etc. |
