How to lower high LDL Cholestrol?

I got my test results back. My LDL cholesterol is 145.

How do I lower it?

What worked for me

1. Weight Watchers style dieting (my wife is on it, and I mostly ate like her - less total calories, more fruits and veggies and whole grains and "good fats"- less sat fat and much less sugar. Combined with weighing myself

2. A helluva lot of bike riding - became a regular (several times a week) bike commuter. I went down from high (don't recall the number, about where you are now I guess) to about 80 (and much higher HDL - good cholesterol) Still on meds, but only low dosage.

Exercise and better diet. That’s it. This is 100% lifestyle plus aging.

Op here. I’m only 30. I’d really like to get this under control.

I reduced mine with weight loss (weight watchers) and exercise.

That said, my genetics lean to elevated LDL so I might have to take statins sometime. I’ve managed to put it off 8 years after The doctor first mentioned it by losing weight/eating healthfully and adding regular exercise.

Paleo worked for me with exercise 5x a week.
