Soft pretzels

Anonymous
I am hosting a birthday party for a friend who loves soft pretzels with cheese sauce - does anyone know of a place in the DC/MoCo area where i could buy a frozen pretzel to heat up and get a side of cheese sauce/mustard.

Auntie Anne's does catering trays. Call ahead and order trays of pretzel bites with dipping sauce. You can pick them up before your party.

I think Costco sells them in the freezer section

This would work in a pinch, but was looking for something I could pick up in advance and bake in my oven so it was warm. Maybe that doesn't exist?

You can buy frozen SuperPretzels at any grocery store, but they aren't very good. You can buy Auntie Anne's baking mix to make at home.

I was just at Wegmans the other day and they had a whole bunch, both fresh and frozen. I brought home a huge one from their bakery, chucked in the freezer for a couple days in its plastic bag, then heated it up the other night (350 degree oven for just a few minutes) to eat while watching a movie. It was great.

I think i'm looking for a frozen version that is better than superpretzel, which - i agree - are disgusting.

OP here - does anyone know of a local bakery that sells delicious freshly baked pretzels - could buy fresh, freeze, then reheat.

You can pick up Auntie Anne's and freeze/fridge and reheat them, and they are very good.

wegman's had the pretzel balls. You heat up for 2-4 minutes in the oven. They also sell the cheese sauce and honey mustard right there.

In Pa, pretzel trays are a thing. They are one of the best party foods.
