Exposure was 12/11-12/15.
Isn’t this a required vaccination ??? |
|
Well, many people LOVE to tout the very international and diverse population at ASF.
Enjoy all that it brings! Merry Christmas! |
|
It is unless you claim an exemption. Claiming an exemption is easy, just say it's for religious reasons and they can't question it. And then you have mumps in your school.
Hope no one in the school is or lives with anyone immunocompromised. |
I know several people with immunocomprised relatives. Vaccinations should be mandatory. Barring a very specific medical condition. |
|
Um. You can still catch mumps even if you're fully vaccinated. It's not 100%.
|
| Does anyone know what grade the patient was in? Trying to figure out how concerned I should be for my infant that comes with me to pick up. |
You are seriously vile. |
Guarantee it is some kid of an American born granola type who believes her googling all natural bs is superior to the CDC. |
Hey, idiot f*ck face, you can get the mumps even if you're fully vaccinated. |
Dear eloquent poster, It’s not likely you will contract mumps after you’ve been vaccinated. If you do contract it, it shouldn’t be as severe. Prolonged exposure can be problematic, even if vaccinated. it’s a SCEINCE school ,correct? You’d think the population would be more likely to vaccinate... |
Just STFU and stop throwing out your wacky theory. You have no idea what you're talking about. You obviously did NOT attend a science school since you have no clue about science! |
| It had to come from somewhere--whether the kid was vaccinated or not. My guess is that it came from outside the US. |
^Also, turn off FoxNews and try a credible source. https://mobile.nytimes.com/2017/11/06/well/family/mumps-makes-a-comeback-even-among-the-vaccinated.html |
Dear Princess charming... Read your own articles. It’s about waning immunization. Not super relevant to elementary school populations. |
The mumps vaccine is 88% effective, FF. It's just not as effective as other vaccines. https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2014/04/18/304155213/why-mumps-and-measles-can-spread-even-when-were-vaccinated https://www.cdc.gov/mumps/vaccination.html Idiot. |
