This is just as damaging to the future prospects of the USA as if Putin were president and wanted to cripple our country.

And the GOP is clearly totally fine with it, and it seems a lot of our business leaders are as well.

Though, every day the media is more openly questioning not only his competence, but his sanity. Let’s hope that at some point a few of these republicans realize that they might be risking jail to support a madman.

So if the US isn't collecting tariff revenue

https://www.cnbc.com/2025/04/11/customs-reports-glitch-in-system-used-by-freight-for-tariff-exemptions.html

and it is cutting the IRS, exactly how is the government being funded?

Debt. And then they point to the gigantic debt that they created as a reason for more cuts. This is the plan.

Egg prices are at all time highs. Also at all time highs, the profits of companies that produce and distribute eggs. They are price gouging now.

Yes. Went grocery shopping today and it was more expensive than ever. Plus the restrictions on the number of boxes of eggs you can buy is not the sign of a country swimming in abundance. We don’t need that many eggs but it’s an unpleasant reminder of Trump’s inability to govern.

+1 And they’ve made buying our debt wholly unpalatable. Great!

If he wasn’t trying, I’m not sure how much of a better job he could do.

I read quotes like this and I hear Dennis Hopper from Speed in my head.

Trump is already undermining the markets and the economy that Biden had produced in the wake of COVID and the related supply chain issues.

Trump is promising to bring down inflation, continue to grow the markets and protect American companies with tariffs.

He is already saying he will exempt Apple and Tesla from tariffs (because the bribes are too hard to pass up)

Is it all just another trumpscam to tank the markets and buy low?
