This forum is overrun with leftist operatives and shills pumping their psyop du jour.

Yes. It’s fine to take data from polls, but this site became of dumpster of “garbage red polls” and the “accurate blue polls.” Basically anything that showed a republican lead was called garbage. You only hear the message you want to be true. It’s wrong. Please self reflect

Moving this to the top for the memories.

Trump beat Biden in Iowa by 8 pts in 2020. Harris has overtaken him.

Yes, Selzer was way off. Yes, this is a massive indictment of her methodology which worked very well for decades. It was disappointing for me because I had really hoped she was right.

But to her credit, she put work out there honestly. There are other pollsters that did this as well (NYTimes/Siena for example) and did much better, but far too many pollsters are just manipulating their data to come up with the result that matches what the other polls are saying. Polls of 700-1,000 people aren't supposed to all be within 1-2 points of each other. At a certain point the polls just become educated guesses by the pollsters rather than actual data.

Selzer deserves credit for being honest and allowing her work to be held accountable. It's a message that her methodology (RDD) doesn't work anymore. And that's a good thing to know.

She should personally apologize to trump and ask for forgiveness. DOJ should investigate whether these pollsters are being paid by dark forces.

Wow. If this comes to pass, Harris will have a Reaganesque victory.

Someone just had a Reaganesque victory.

"Tonight, I’m of course thinking about how we got where we are," Selzer said in a statement.

"The poll findings we produced for The Des Moines Register and Mediacom did not match what the Iowa electorate ultimately decided in the voting booth today," she continued. "I’ll be reviewing data from multiple sources with hopes of learning why that happened. And, I welcome what that process might teach me."

Many pollsters have partisan funding sources.

Did you see the post above yours? Ann Seltzer polls are usually very accurate.

Ok. Everyone is wrong sometimes, and here, direct experience strongly indicates this poll is very wrong. It is also an outlier among polls. For all I know, Ann Seltzer got a huge payday to sacrifice some credibility to put out good numbers for Harris. In any event, I do not believe it is accurate. This is based on the experience of having grown up there and having watched people abandon the Democrats first hand.

A Democrat got 47.5% of the vote for Iowa governor in 2018.

That’s a lot different than a national democrat. And kamala harris is a bottom of the barrel national democrat at that. No chance there has been a huge swing in her favor.

Prepare to be very, very surprised on Tuesday. The momentum is real.

Yikes, this didn't age well. The momentum was definitely real...for Trump.

Maybe next cycle, Rasmussen, Atlas Intel and Trafalgar, who have been accurate for the last 3 presidential cycles can just be "pollsters" and every other group should get the partisan scarlet letter.
