Columbia Heights hate crime?

With very little details there was this weekend some attack in Columbia heights. They wouldn’t say what the targeted group was. Just said “derogatory” things with no elaboration

Checked Popville and DC police Twitter. Nothing there about anything happening in CH.

WASHINGTON - A Columbia Heights assault is now being investigated as a possible hate crime, after a person was beat with a baton by a man who was making derogatory statements, police say.

D.C. police say a person was struck by a man multiple times with an expandable baton, while saying derogatory things.

They say it happened on Thursday, just after 9 p.m., at the 3000 block of 14th Street, Northwest.

Probably an anti-LGBT crime. Those are the most common hate crimes in urban DC.

You think a random crazy black guy in Columbia Heights could identify a random Jew on the street?

I guarantee this was anti-LGBT or anti-Hispanic crime. Those are pretty typical in CoHi.
