He made a FaceTime call from the hotel room’s toilet and while he was looking at me he made one of those noises. I asked him why the rush to call me if he
was able to call me after “the storm”. He said he wanted to save time. Although we have been married for 11 years, and heard each other’s bodynoises in person, I’m not happy at all with that behavior. How would you interpret it? Does your spouse do the same? |
| He was eager to call you. |
| Hell no. We do NOT share the bathroom if either of us is using the toilet. I would have hung up on him. Some things should NOT be shared. |
| I'd find it a little gross, but I don't think it's something to get overly upset about. Just tell him that you don't want him to facetime you from the bathroom anyway and leave it at that. |
| Not a big deal. |
| That is what texting is for. |
| That would gross me out. I don't even like to have conversations through the closed door while one of us is in there! Text or call later! |
| Ugh. That's like you being in the room. No. |
I would be super grossed out. However...I have a friend who facetimes people from the toilet all the time. So I guess some men think this is ok? |
hearing your voice just knocks the sh*t out of him
|
| Are you also a lights off person? Get over yourself! |
+1. I'm not a particularly easy to gross out person, DH and I use the toilet to pee when the other is in the bathroom all the time, NBD. Pooping in front of each other (and facetime counts) is my line in the sand. |
No, but poop is gross. I barely want to be around my own, let alone someone else's. |
| Not sure why this was significant enough for you to make a DCUM thread about it, but to each their own. |
I'm going home right after work so that I can shower my spouse with so much appreciation. Thank you OP for reminding me what I lucky woman I am.
