Not a lot to write home about. https://dcps.dc.gov/publication/ap-score-data-sets https://dcps.dc.gov/publication/dcps-data-set-sat |
| As if we needed more depressing news about DCPS in one day. I will say at least the test are free of charge. |
| For as much as people fall over themselves about getting into a feeder for Wilson, I expected higher. |
Not really. City taxes cover the cost. |
| How could 25% of students at SWW fail to pass even one AP exam with a 3 or higher? |
For example, AP Eng Lang is a required course and test for all 11th graders at SWW. AP World and AP US History courses are also required at SWW. Perhaps a quarter of those kids are not a good fit for those courses? |
Then shouldn’t they fail the class too? |
| WOW. The achievement gap is really evident in these scores and depressing. |
| I'm highly disappointed in Wilson's AP passing rate. I'm curios why DCPS didn't break down the pass rates by FARMS, Race, ESOL, and other demographics. |
Do you could feel better about the scores of your child’s demographic? |
| *so |
They did break down by race and gender for AP scores but not SAT. White students at Wilson did well scoring 3,4 or 5 on AP tests. |
|
I found the AP pass rates for Montgomery County schools and am trying to compare them to Wilson, SWW and Banneker. But this link is from 2015. Does anyone know how i can get the scores from last year? Google is not pulling it up.

^^ I should say white students across DCPS. Does not break it out by school. |
