| We are headed to Disney soon with our 6 month old, 4 and 6 year olds, I know we'll need at stroller for the baby but what about the older two? Would it be worth bringing our double bob stroller for them or will that be too big to deal with at the park and on buses? |
| I would definitely get a stroller, especially if you’re not going back to the hotel in the middle of the day. I would rent it though, and not deal with getting the bob there. They have double strollers you can rent that are smaller than bobs, and great (the double bob is too big, I think).. It is A LOT of walking, and even my 5 year-old hitched a ride on the double. |
| Agree--a stroller is a good idea. |

Just got back from Disney with An Almost 5 Year Old. Didnt Use A Stroller. We Could Have Rented One but dS Didnt Really Complain And Was Fine Hitching The Occassional On Top of The Shoulder Ride.
It Was A Lot Of Walking. If He Had Complained, We Would Have Rented One. So Id Say Just Rent One If Its Needed |
| Yes. Seriously, I wanted to ride in a stroller by the end of the day. |
|
What type of stroller will you bring if not the double bob?
I'd think about bringing the baby single stroller and an umbrella stroller. Or a sit n stand if you can find a cheap used one |
| Yes. We used a jogger at 5. |
What's with the weird capitalizing of the first letter of each word? |
No idea. Was using my iPad. Couldn't get it to stop doing that. Who knows. |
| Unless your children have medical conditions, they should be able to walk around Disney. Several years ago we went to Disney when our youngest was 3; we also had children that were 5, 8, and 9 at the time. No stroller, no problem. |

We have been to Disney about 6 times in the last 3 years (DH has tons of business trips to Orlando), and with 2 young kids a stroller is a huge plus. We gate check our double stroller. Not only does it help corral the kids at the airport but it's a huge benefit at Disney. My younger son who was 2.5 last time we went would often fall asleep during the long day. My older daughter who was 4.5 the last time we went was really tired and too heavy for us to carry around much. We're actually going back in January and I'm sure they'll want to ride in the stroller.
Also, Disney has been pretty safe regarding bringing your own. |
It depends. We found that until age 5, a stroller helped us make the most of the trip. From experience at home, if we made our twins walk all day like that, we would need frequent stops and our day would be shorter. With the stroller, we were able to have a longer day at the parks and get a better bang for the buck for the expensive park tickets. With a stroller, we were able to get to the parks around 9:30 just after rope drop, and have 3 hours of fun before lunch, then lunch, then 4 hours of fun after lunch, dinner and could stay until the fireworks around 8:30ish. From about 7:45ish on, they were kind of tired and sat in the stroller, but watched the fireworks from the stroller and fell asleep in the stroller as we walked back to the monorail and car. With out the stroller, we probably would have been done by dinner and had to skip the extra 1-2 hours after dinner including the fireworks. It was worth it to us to rent the double stroller for the kids. For OP, one double where the baby can use one side and the 4 & 6 year olds can trade off on who is walking and who is riding is probably sufficient. |

The last time we used the double city mini was with our 5yo 7yo at Disney. Heck, i wish I? could sit in a stroller at Disney.
They now have a baby sister. On our last trip, they both wanted to sit in the stroller. They are very active and skinny. Just like to relax in a stroller. Lol |
| I've done multiple trips to Disney at those ages. Absolutely do the double stroller. Slight pain on a bus but manageable and worth the hassle. |
Absolutely. We rented and the company delivered it to our onsite hotel. So we took it on the monorail, which was easy. It was fine finding stroller parking at each ride (though we went at a quiet time, maybe others can chime in about this being a PITA for them?) and it is SO GREAT to have a place to leave your stuff. Not valuables of course, but waters, snacks, ponchos, etc. I cannot imagine having to schlep a backpack onto rides! |
