Question: Do you ever watch the "citizen participation" comments at School Board meetings?

If you do, you would know they will pay no attention and do what they want to do.

If these consultants were worth their salt they would be using software to conduct a thematic analysis of the comments. My undergraduate students know how to do this.

A previous poster here. What are the proposed changes regarding Kilmer and Stenwood-->Kilmer boundaries -- has anything been discussed? If you know and would like to share, that would be great. I will try to attend future meetings if I can - it's pretty confusing to me for some reason.

Please disregard I was able to filter the interactive boundary map for the address. Thank you.

All I can say is the Pigeon hole comment software is appropriately named, as I felt Pigeon holed sitting in that cafeteria trying to submit questions from my small phone.

The software does some of that.

According to the tool provided by the retainer outside consulting firm, there's going to be no change regarding Stenwood as a feeder to Thoreau and Kilmer. It's boundaries and how it splits is remaining as is. Here's an accessible link:

There is another round of new maps coming this summer.

Well, there may be some changes to the maps based on community feedback. If they do anything other than scale this whole project way back, the community outrage is going to grow even more deafening for them.

Anyone attend Chantilly meeting last night?

I did by Zoom. A boring presentation followed by small group discussions, which is basically meaningless because my online group discussions were not communicated to the administration.

Afterward, there was an opportunity to provide online feedback via Pigeonhole. Way too many Emerald Chase bots overwhelmed the platform, drowning out every other input. They just don't understand that Oak Hill ES is currently a split feeder and Chantilly high is over capacity.

Not Emerald Chase. The Emerald Chase people were told to calm down and they were embarrassed so did. But then the next 2 meetings were 10x worse with Timberlane parents so I'm guessing they decided since other groups were fine to spam the feedback platform, they were too.

When you say "bots" do you literally mean some program to boost the number of votes? I see people complaining about Timber Lane, but at the meeting I attended there were just a slew of "don't rezone Timber Lane," none of which more than 125 votes or so. There were more upvotes for several Hunt Valley-related posts. It didn't seem like bots so much as people from one community not realizing they could have simply upvoted one post and it would have had the same or greater effect.

Are we able to see those comments after the meetings?

Every once in awhile I travel on Prosperity Rd and the last time I was there they had yard signs about keeping the whole area in Woodson and not splitting it up. Looks like they stay in Woodson. How did they manage to avoid changes or was it not that likely to begin with ?
