Np. Do they actually make money? People at our school were talking about doing it for community building/fundraising purposes. I did t know if they are better for one or the other.

Our school does them probably 5-6 times per year. They do make money; usually a couple hundred dollars per time. From what I can tell, they're pretty easy to set up and the restaurants like the free advertising. Our family especially liked it during Fall sports season, because my kids' practice times were later and it was convenient to stop in at the restaurant and pick up dinner (they will usually donate regardless of whether you dine in or carry out). Our school has done it at places like Panera, various sub shops, pizza places, and Chipotle.

Our school has fundraisers at McDonald’s and Chik Fil A because that’s where the community shows up. We have HD events at more local non fast food restaurants who want to support the school, but those events have lower participation.

What’s your issue with McDonald’s?

In our experience, Chipotle gives the most back. We will make $1000 there and only a couple hundred at other restaurants.

Preschool fundraisers at Ledo's Pizza

Elementary at Chuck E. Cheese, Cici's Pizza Buffet, once at Silver Diner where teachers waited tables.

Ledo’s is also excellent. They are very generous.

Some of the smaller chains are terrible - if you forget to hand in the flyer they give you no credit. Once we got $11.

We make $200-$400 (sometimes more) off each one, so I'm glad we do a few of them. Good for the PTA, we'd likely be eating out anyway and my daughter loves to see her friends outside of school.

The high school fundraiser in '16 was at Ruth's Chris and it went very well!

Chipotle is the best.

No one seems to show up for our McDonald's ones. I might suggest Chipotle or chickfila.

we have a chipotle one set up this week. yes, they give 50% of the proceeds. it is always our biggest moneymaker.

we used to do McDonald's night. They cut off that relationship a few years ago, though.

So far this year, we have done Corner Bakery and Jersey Mike's. Trying to do one per month.

We did Chick Fil A a couple years ago. They brought the cow to the school at dismissal that day. The kids LOVED that!

Our school is trying to do one per month this year.

We also have a week at Five Below set up
