Prediction: Gillespie wins

Despite all of the hate for Trump, I predict that Gillespie will win. Just by the number of signs I have seen in FC. And the fact that the polls are tied.

There are a lot of anti-tax people in this area and the new tax plan is freaking people out. So Gillespie for the win.

You can tell he's going to win because 538 is all about how Gillespie winning doesn't mean anything. Actually, it means a lot. The issue is illegal immigration and its killing the democrats because it's destroying schools and hospitals in democrat districts and wreaking havok among voters democrats need. The Donald was revolutionary in going full bore on the issue when the establishment was impotent. Its going to lead to a long period of nationalist political domination .

Gillespie is the one running disgusting and misleading ads. It’s a false equivalency to say both candidates are doing it. One candidate is running many himself. Another private group of supporters of the other candidate ran and pulled one ad.

And to a pp, you’re missing the second half of the poster’s point about Gillespie coming from out of town. The part of him pandering to the worst stereotypes of Virginians like talking about confederate monuments.
