| I just don’t see the appeal-at all. So is this is a fad or is the whole mcm craze here to stay? |
| Loved by architects, hated by everyone else |
| All styles fade after a time. |
|
Mid-century modern? Lots of people like it because of its clean lines and un-fussiness. I can see why they do, although I prefer Louis XV furniture myself
|
| You realize that mid-century refers to *last* century, right? So no, it's not a fad. |
| I hate it too. |
| Sorry PP but I don't like that fussy French stuff either. |
It is very clearly used to describe 1950's-60s style furniture/decorating etc.. Mid century(half a century being 100) so yeah 1950. Good try though. |
I like this style. Ideally with a tiled fireplace, lots of pretty wood trim, stained glass, and inlay floors.
|
| My house itself is mcm but my furniture is not, for the most part. But it was a very stylish era. |
I love MCM, but none of these look even remotely like it. |
oooh love. Craftsman right? |
lol I think that was the point PP. The person you quoted doesn't like MCM she likes craftsman. |
Yes, that is my point. It's been around since the 1950s. Therefore, it is not a fad. No idea what "good try though" is supposed to mean here, but I can't understand how you thought reiterating my comment was refuting it either. |
If you don't like it or want to use it, then what is your concern here? |
