Wow, you are extremely ignorant. It is actually in the Constitution. As to what the law says about the matter, US Constitution Article 1 clause 8 states, "No title of nobility shall be granted by the United States: and no person holding any office of profit or trust under them, shall, without the consent of the Congress, accept of any present, emolument, office, or title, of any kind whatever, from any king, prince, or foreign state." It is there for a reason. There are tons of minor and major European titles floating around, many of them fake, from centuries of influence peddling, all over the world. The framers wanted to prevent both a hereditary class system, as well as the fake titles here. .... Try reading up on history. Here is a list of Americans over time who lived abroad and held there titles abroad: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Americans_who_held_noble_titles_from_other_countries |

Especially when Markle, a U.S. citizen, has a "Serving the Monarchy" section on her/Harry's website. W.T.F. I'd say she's getting danger-close to either renounce her U.S. citizenship or cut bait entirely from the BRF, which may include her husband. |
Newsweek article: Harry and Meghan are the only royals whose approval ratings have fallen:

Purleze. There are countless threads on DCUM from you posters discussing how much money your parents and grandparents gave you. There are other posters currently discussing how much money they should gift their adult children in the purchase of their home. |
NP. Okay, so what? If a parent freely and happily provides their adult child financial support, that’s great for the parent and for the child. Yes, there are many people who have these arrangements on DCUM and elsewhere. That doesn’t mean that adult children (especially adult children who are pushing 40, with 2 kids of their own - not talking about a 22 year old here) are entitled to that support, even if the parent is wealthy. And who could blame a parent for pulling financial support when their child has basically renounced everything you stand for? I don’t. |
This reminds me of the time the palace released news about a royal project with a local community center and a bunch of moms who were supporting it by sharing recipes in a cookbook. I said then (on DCUM) that this should have and would have been the perfect project for Kate to spearhead (as a mom and reportedly someone who loves to cook for her family).
Funnily enough that project was also released while the Sussexs were expecting. Now look. |
What I love about the VaxLive concert is that it’s not just celebrities in attendance, but world leaders as well. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will be there, Emmanuel Macron and Justin Trudeau. It’s not just Hollywood A-listers, it’s presidents and prime ministers... and Harry & Meghan. |
The interesting thing about the poll you linked is that Meghan’s favorability rating is significantly higher than Charles. William and Harry are literally tied with both getting 54%. So, even with a big fall in popularity, Harry was just as popular as William...Let that sink in. Yougov also does landline polls which skews heavily towards an older demographic. Meghan and Harry are significantly more popular with younger generations, so this type of poll artificially lowers their numbers. |
NP. Yep. Harry hasn't been resident in the UK for 1.5 years now. Meghan barely made it in the UK with a year's residency and she's still the 3rd most popular female royal - almost edging out Kate. And Diana is apparently still the most popular royal and she's been dead for 30 years. Prince Harry is 'preferred future monarch' as Duke faces demands to return to UK A new Deltapoll survey found more than half of 18 to 24-year-olds want Prince Harry to be crowned King when the Queen dies as he is the "preferred future monarch". A total of 51 percent of respondents in the age bracket want the Duke to follow in the footsteps of the monarch despite stepping down from royal duties and moving to LA. https://www.express.co.uk/news/royal/1420523/prince-harry-duke-of-sussex-king-prince-william-charles-queen-news-latest-vn ![]() |
Yep. They're the royal component. To the Cambridges' chagrin. It used to be that American media would reach out to the palaces for participation- here's rockstar Diana at The Prince's Trust Rock Gala in 1986. Now they're not even bothering looking across the pond. |
It’s so interesting how much they’ve been able to do since leaving. Harry has truly spread his wings and looks so happy. |
Really? I didn't think that he came off all that happy on Oprah as he was whining about being cut off and needing to figure out a way to earn a living. |
